Hamilton SPCA Fundraiser a Success
The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA held its 3rd Annual SPCA PINS FOR PETS Bowl-A-Thon on April 9, 2005 at the Hamilton Mountain Bowl on Stone Church Road East.
It was a fun-filled day that included support from our Hamilton Firefighters (Paul, Stan, Jim, Kevin & Steve) and City of Hamilton Councillors ( Tom Jackson , Brian McHattie, Phil Bruckler, Terry Whitehead, Art Samson and Sam Merulla).
There were sppearances from special guests, Stripes from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (a very sweet kitty) and Bruiser from the Hamilton Bull Dogs (a real bull dog).
Thanks to our generous community the day raised over $13,000 for the homeless, abused and abandoned animals in the care of the SPCA.
Councillor McHattie and some of his Council Colleagues were on hand to help raise money for this annual fundraiser, joined by Hamilton Firefighters and other community members.
