Splash Pad to be constructed in Churchill Park

After much hard work by members of the Ainslie Wood Westdale community, Councillor McHattie and the City have fast-tracked designs and will be constructing a beautiful new splash pad this summer adjacent to the children's playground in Churchill Park.  Additional park trees and benches will be installed around the splash pad.

Work is tentatively expected to commence on June 21 with completion scheduled for about July 28. Originally construction was to commence this fall so that the splash pad would be operational the summer of 2007.  With the earlier start date, we hope the children will be able to enjoy the splash pad later this summer.
