Tom Street Park gets a facelift
May 19, 2006
Councillor McHattie would like to thank the Strathcona community, and specifically Chris White, a Strathcona resident for working with him to rejuvenate Tom Street Park. This work was a result of a conversation between Councillor McHattie and Chris during a Strathcona Secondary Plan community meeting and shows what can happen when people get involved in their community.

Special thanks goes to City staffer, Steve Ames from Parks Maintenance, who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that the park was a great place for neighbourhood children to play, for their parents to relax, and for all of us to enjoy the wondrous shouts of joy from children having fun.
Tom Park is located in the west end of the Strathcona neighbourhood which stretches from Highway 403 east to Queen Street North and is bordered on the south by Main Street West and on the north by the Bayfront.
