Kirkendall Neighbourhood
Traffic Management Study
September 23, 2005
The City of Hamilton has initiated the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process to develop a comprehensive Traffic Management Plan for the Kirkendall Neighbourhood (north and south) that will include notably the following considerations: existing parking supply and demand; on-street commercial vehicle loading; neighbourhood traffic infiltration; traffic calming opportunities; and traffic impacts associated with the redevelopment of the former CAMCO site by McMaster University.
This EA is the result of Brian's request to have a traffic study carried out to address the numerous traffic and parking issues in the Kirkendall neighbourhood and to proactively consider the impact of future development of the former CAMCO site on neighbourhood traffic.
A Public Information Centre will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a presentation scheduled to take place at 7:00 p.m.
