HWDSB Special Hearing re Dalewood Accommodation Review
March 20, 2012, 6 pm
HWDSB Education Centre, 100 Main Street West, Hamilton
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) is holding accommodation reviews across the community. An accommodation review takes into account school space, programming and possible school closures. A report by an Accommodation Review Committee (ARC) and a report by staff are either complete or nearing completion for each area review.
The Dalewood ARC was convened to make recommendations about student accommodation in West Hamilton. HWDSB staff recommends that Prince Philip close and all students go to G.R. Allan. Dalewood would remain in its current format (grades 6,7,8).
Before Trustees make a decision that may include a school closure, HWDSB will hold a SPECIAL HEARING to receive public input on the recommendations.
Individuals, groups or organizations wishing to speak at this SPECIAL HEARING must pre-register by contacting Heather Miller at heather.miller@hwdsb.on.ca or 905-527-5092 ext. 2279.
Delegations can be 5 or 10 minutes long.
